Pursuit is the worst when you don't have Fluctus yet. I thought AW was cool until I did the racing levels, it was not fun and I never could kill the escaping ships in time. Or just relegate it to a side activity for Railjack. There is no sense of skill in the movement and melee is just spamming the attack button. In AW you only have shooting and sometimes powers. On land, you have your movement system on top of shooting and slashing and using powers. The real problem with archwing is that there is very little variety to the game style. But when they're working on making the map bigger, they got the idea for a large open world map instead. They had to resort to shrinking the size of our avatars to make the map "bigger". But it didn't work because they couldn't get the map size big enough.

It was envisioned to be a sorta space dogfight sim. That's why we call it sharkwing.Īrchwing was added after the parkour rework. To be fair though, Uranus doesn't count as archwing. I mean yeah at first its fun, but you'll hate it once you hit uranus.įinished The War Within, even with some bitching and glitching I was on the mountain giving Teshin the kuva, it went to load me to the orbiter and dumped me back into the Purge section Very Unfun wish I didn't have to do parts of it twice, but boy was I relieved when it actually completed. It's a decent idea for a change of pace but still has all the drawbacks listed so far. Was archwing stuff added before or after they reworked the frames into zippy flippy murderbots? Help goons who hate archwing (everyone else) do archwing things Controls like a dream and flashing around in melee makes me feel like I'm playing the ZoE3 we'll never get.īless your heart, you hold on to this love of archwing and use it for good. So.why do people hate Archwings? I just unlocked mine and did a couple missions and I am in looooove. Space is empty, so there's less cover, and you generally die way more often Unlocking archwing gear is either a grind or REQUIRES trading a-la Pokemon Why someone shouldn't like Archwing after the honeymoon: Feel like a gundam or a mech or a cool dude with a jetpack killing everything Like if the only archwing missions you've done are exterminate and sabotage, I can understand thinking it's OK, or even a little bit cool.īut I have a hard time believing that anyone who's done the horror show that is interception or pursuit (or some of the badly waypointed Uranus mazes) would still say it's a good thing. Really though I think it's because a lot of the archwing nodes you need to do to unlock the star chart are bullshit that makes you hate the mechanics. Next up: the Lunaro fans come out of the woodwork.

WARFRAME CORVUS VS FLUCTUS MODS

I love Star Citizen, and all it's crazinessĪlso the good mods are a pain in the rear end to get, and all of the damage mods only drop from one node on Jupiter. It also doesn't help that the default equipment blows, and there's very little that points you towards your dojo for new archwings. You try to be happy when everyone is summoning you everywhere to "be their friend".

Except for the super extra janky plains version, obviously. Maybe if anyone defends this on a forum, they automatically get added to the government depopulation list because their minds are clearly deviant and must be purged. Yahtzee posted: No-one could look at this and think "Yep, this will never get old." The only remaining explanation is that this is some kind of test. Her pixie form is literally just playing Archwing on any mission you want with the added benefit of being more fun because it fixes the issue of scale when enemies are 100x larger than you. If you like Archwing mode though, build Titania. These things are also moving directly at you to try and get within range to do something most of the time and you have a vested interest in keeping it that way because if they get close enough for you to see what they are and what they're doing you'll randomly explode. Second, the entire experience is mushy in an unsatisfying way- Most archwing content is shooting at things far enough away that you can't tell what exactly they are, only able to tell you're hitting them by the hit noise and damage text. The big two issues with it (IMO) are: it has an absolutely nonsensical inertia to it that causes you to move in seemingly random directions after turning or strafing, which absolutely ruins the controls for me.
